Simply just a page, nothing too important here. Anyway (ignore the first sentence, this page is now much more awesome since 9gag elements are introduced in the second entry), this page here, is basically discussing about hobbies. Hobbies are simple, they are things that are done out of pure interests and for enjoyment purposes, things that people does during their free time, to release their stress that built up during the busy working days. Personally, i do not have a variety of hobbies, things that i do out of interests are simple, there are not in any way complicated. These things include, playing video games on my computer when i am free, reading books (especially books in a series, for example Harry Potter, which i am currently on the 5th episode), chatting with friends either physically or through Internet, playing badminton, hang out and have some fun with my friends, and most importantly, i often like to simply sit down and either chat or watch a movie with my family members. This event is essential, as the chances of all our family members to be in one places is less than the chance of a meteor crushing on the Earth randomly, this is mainly due to the fact that my father works in a different area of China comparing to where we live, and my elder brother is living in a compound in SongJiang, the outskirt area of Shanghai, and he barely have any chance to come home. Therefore, i greatly appreciate the times where all of my family members are able to be in one place at a certain time, and the content of our chats can vary from the history of ancient china, to the latest technology developed.
Also, there is music, which is played in my room practically all day. Ever since i found out the existence of music back when i was only 8 years old in 2003, i knew it was an amazing element that will always be part of my life the moment i heard it. Later on, i started to discover various type of music, different genres, and this made my love for music even greater. The major reason in which i love music, is that, when i am experiencing different emotions and feelings, there are always different songs/rhythms in which that can express my feelings perfectly. Furthermore, by listening to different songs, my emotions can easily interchange, for example, when feeling down or sad at a certain degree, i would listen to songs that would simply cheer me up. In addition, i also found that by listening to certain music rhythm, i tend to be more efficient in doing my work, and i felt that certain music behaved like a sleeping pill which would put me into sleep easily.

Pop Punk/rock/pop rock : Simple Plan, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Gym Class Heroes.
These are the main categories which i usually listen to, but i would always try to listen to music of different styles, such as alternatives, or classical music.

In the above section, i believe i explained quite clear about my hobbies and the level in which i favors them. However, there is another event which i believe can be included as one of my hobbies, and that is to surf on the internet. Usually, after finishing homework and everything necessary, i will go on the internet to different websites, for example, going on facebook to check recent updates and status etc. Also, one of the websites which had only recently became one of my favourite website is 9gag. In short, 9gag is simply a site where people are allowed to post memes, which is currently described as " a meme is used to describe a concept that spreads via the Internet. The term is a reference to the concept of memes, although the latter concept refers to a much broader category of cultural information.".These internet memes are usually made for the purpose of humoring others, some uses various pictures to construct a meme, such as using the smiling face of Yao Ming, the retired NBA basketball player and added words to it so the picture can be used in different context, here is one example (this may be a bit sexist, so i will apologize beforehand to anyone who is a strong feminist which fights for equality between male and females):
As you can see from the picutre, the face was used to implement that international women's day should not be like the above, but the below idea (which women are suppose to cook and make sandwiches etc).
There are also other ones which are expressing different ideas, and many refers to different races, but most people are tolerant towards these jokes, and would in fact laugh along with others. In addition, as 9gag have became popular over these recent months, people which visits 9gag.com and look at various pictures are referred to "9gaggers", and as a 9gagger, i would often go on 9gag to view various humorous pictures. Many of these memes are reference to different movies, TV series, animations, for example, the line "lets play a game" is often used (from Saw). Furthermore, 9gag can also be followed from facebook, in which some pictures will be posted on facebook daily to allow people who does not previously visit 9gag to understand what 9gag's purpose is. Thus, in my free time, i would go on 9gag even though accessing from China tends to causes problem, in which the connection does not seem to work, and VPN is required.

Karaoke Say Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat??
It is always funny to look at pictures as such, and i will be posting another one at the end of this post. Anyway, as i mentioned and explained how music influenced my life, there is also another hobby which i do, and it is karaoke. I would attend karaoke events with my friends during weekends. The word Karaoke was generated from Japan, the origin was said to be that in the older times, where Japanese culture dictates that men who comes back to their home early are useless and will be laughed at constantly. Therefore, after working hours, men that felt they should not be humiliating themselves by going back to their home early will often meet in bar/drinking places, and chatting with each other till it is considered late enough. While this event goes on, the men that are gathered each day felt boredom started to grow, and they decided to find something interesting to do instead of simply chatting, and they picked up what was considered a microphone and started singing. As technology advances, karaoke machines were invented, and this way of entertainment is spread through the world, including places such as China, Taiwan, America and others.
As i had mentioned before, i enjoy music, and at certain point, i would start singing along without being aware of it, and even though i believe i am not considered a good singer, and that i would not sing in public or in front of a group of people as i think that it is considered an embarrassing thing to do; i still like to sing along when songs which i liked are played in my room or when i am alone. In addition, the reason in which i would not mind singing, would be when going to karaoke, the main purpose is to be relief from our stress that are built up during normal busy days, and at the same time, relax ourselves, and to enjoy the time. Therefore, i would not mind going to karaoke and sing with my friends during weekends as i believe, that the ability to sing is relatively irrelevant comparing to the true purpose of karaoke, which is enjoying spending time with friends. Furthermore, through singing, i believe i can express any of my unpleasant emotion within and replaces it with a relatively more positive emotion, for example, by singing rock songs, i could express my anger or sadness from time to time if necessary, or to change the mood by singing songs that can lift everyone's spirit up, making us, "high".

Today, i will save how miserable and awful my day was, and skip right to the starter, hope this will humor you, and cheer you up for the day, as this certainly did it for me :)
I believe most people have seen the movie Titantic, therefore i will not explain what the movie is about or what the reference is. P.S. The illustration of the differences for 3D, 2D and 1D made the stress i built up today to disappear completely, and this most definitely cheered me up. In addition, the fact that i was able to cheer up is also due to the reason in which i listened to different songs that managed to changes my emotion, and now, i believe i am in a relatively high spirit condition!!
Therefore, with that said, as i am HIGH SPIRITS, i will continue to post various 9gag pictures BELOW, as visiting 9gag have now become one of my most important and core hobbies (fall under music, which is always number 1 in my lists of hobbies).
